Wike call for true federalism and political restructuring.... read more!!!

Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers said on Tuesday in Port Harcourt that true federalism and the restructuring of the political system will correct perceived anomalies in the country.
Wike said this when the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural organisation of Igbo people, paid him a courtesy call at Government House.
He said that he would continue to advocate for true federalism because it would usher in equity and fairness.
Furthermore, he said he would also continue to encourage harmonious co-existence and unity of the nation.
The governor commended the leadership of the association for its call for national security and unity.
Wike gave an assurance that his administration would provide the enabling environment to attract investments in the state.
He said that the Greater Port Harcourt Development project was open to people interested in investing in Rivers.
In his remarks, the President-General of association, Chief John Nwodo, lauded the governor for the “massive” infrastructural development recorded by his administration.
Nwodo urged the governor to establish industries and provide land for members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the diaspora wishing to invest in Rivers.
He noted many Igbo people in the Diaspora wished to build schools and universities in Rivers but were constrained by the lack of land.

IPOB vows to drag Army to ICC over alleged Port Harcourt killings ....read more!!!

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has vowed to drag the Nigerian Army to the International Criminal Court, ICC, in The Hague.
The group said the army’s refusal to admit that it killed 11 members of IPOB during the group’s rally in support of US President, Donald Trump, on January 20, 2017 was a blatant lie.
IPOB also accused the army of alternating between calling its outing in Port Harcourt a “protest” and a “rally” at the same time.
The Deputy Director of Army Public Relations of 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Colonel Aminu Iliyasu, had in a statement recently denied killed any member of IPOB during the rally, describing it as a “criminal gang.”
But IPOB spokesmen, Mr Emma Nmezu, and Dr. Clifford Chukwuemeka Iroanya, in their reply to the Army, said it had become customary for the army to kill IPOB members and deny it.
“This is not the first, neither is it going to be the last time that the Nigerian Army will kill our members and shamelessly come out to deny it”, he stated.
Part of the IPOB statement read: “International human rights groups have consistently labelled the Nigerian Army as perennial liars incapable of ever telling the truth when it comes to their culpability in the mass execution of unarmed civilians.
“IPOB and those who read the haphazardly written statements from Col. Aminu Iliyasu are left wondering how on the one hand he stated that IPOB conducted a rally in support of President Trump while on the other hand, he called it a protest.
“IPOB will like to remind this quota-system Colonel that the General Abdulsalami Abubakar-written Nigerian Constitution which he referred to is very explicit on the responsibilities of the Nigerian Armed Forces (not just the Army alone), especially in Section-217(2) and this does not in any way stipulate using live ammunition on peaceful and unarmed civilians.
“We will also like to remind Iliyasu that security agencies, media organizations, foreign embassies, and specifically, the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State were all informed ahead of time of the pro-Trump rally, through an official letter signed by the leadership of IPOB.
“This Colonel must understand that a rally or even a protest is not an armed rebellion that will warrant deployment of troops of 29 Battalion of Nigerian Army with a mandate to fire live bullets at peaceful and unarmed civilians.
“May we ask why the same deployment of troops was not carried out on those who protested against President Trump in Abuja on the same date?
“How come troops were not deployed to shoot and kill civilians during the recent “anti-Buhari” protest that was led by the likes of Charles Oputa a.k.a. Charlie Boy? Why must the Hausa-Fulani dominated Nigerian Army and Police regard every IPOB assembly or rally as an opportunity to embark upon some kind of mini Jihad designed to kill as many non-Muslims as possible?
“IPOB is extremely pleased that what transpired that day was captured on pictures and videos as most of the unspeakable atrocities of the Nigerian Army and police are.
“On his insinuation, borne out of panic, that IPOB will post old videos and pictures from our archives in social media, we advise the Colonel not to worry but to leave the authentication of the evidence we have to the civilized panel of judges at the International Criminal Court, ICC.
“It is reassuring to observe that at least the lying Nigerian Army is aware that all their murderous outrage on January 20, 2017 were captured on video.”

LAUTECH Lecturers suspend strike ...read more!!

Lecturers of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, have suspended their months’ long strike after a meeting Tuesday.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, in the school ended its strike after receiving a letter of commitment on how Oyo and Osun state governments intend to fund the university, its chapter chairman said.
The chairman, Biodun Olaniran, said the decision was informed after appraisal of the current situation on campus.
He however said the union would not hesitate to return to strike if the government fails again on the promise of funding the school.
“After consideration of all issues, we have decided to immediately suspend the strike and return to work with immediate effect,” he said.
Students reacted with elation to the news.
“Congratulations to all LAUTECH students, at some point I didn’t know how to ask for money from home, they kept asking me what I am doing in school,” a student, Busari Azeezat, said.
The LAUTECH chapter of ASUU went on strike in June 2016.

I met Buhari in Good health - SARAKI.. read more!!!

The President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, on Tuesday insisted that the President Muhammadu Buhari he saw in London was in good health and spirit.
Saraki made the remark while briefing the Senate on the recent trip by the leadership of the National Assembly to the UK, where they met with Buhari.
Speaking after he read pending letters to the Senate from Buhari on the extension of his vacation, as well as letters from the acting President Yemi Osinbajo requesting the confirmation of Justice Walter Onnoghen as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, and the nomination of an additional ambassadorial nominee, the Senate President maintained that Buhari was in good spirit.
Saraki said, “Further to the correspondence from Mr. President, let me also use this opportunity to brief my colleagues on the visit I led a delegation of myself, the Honourable Speaker and the Majority Leader to visit Mr President Buhari on Wednesday 15th of February to convey the greetings and best wishes of the National Assembly and I am happy to report that we met the President in good spirit, in good health, chatty as usual and conveyed his best wishes and hopes to be back very soon.”
Recall that Saraki, alongside the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara had on February 15 visited Buhari in London.
Buhari, who embarked on vacation few weeks ago, had extended his time London indefinitely, citing health issues.
Just yesterday, the President through his media aide, Femi Adesina, revealed that a series of medical check-ups he carried out in the cause of his medical vacation had necessitated his prolonged stay in London.

BREAKING NEW: Why We cant impeach Governor Obiano - Anambra Lawmakers... read more!!!

Members of the Anambra State House of Assembly have explained why they can’t impeach

the state governor, Willie Obiano base on a petition from a non-lawmaker and an opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.
The factional state chairman of the PDP, chief Ken Emeakaye, in a press conference in Awka on Sunday called on the House to impeach the governor for allegedly proceeding on vacation for 30 days without remitting a letter to the House of Assembly.
Reacting to the petition, a member representing Onitsha north, Chugbo Enwezor, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, said Emeakaye’s request showed somebody that was ignorant of the provisions of the constitution on impeachment proceedings on a governor.
According to him, “That statement was ill conceived and came from somebody who does not understand the constitutional provisions of section 188 (1-11) and section 190 of the 1999 constitution as amended.
“First and foremost, he lacks knowledge of the law. The call is mischievous and should be discountenanced.”
Enwezor said no legislature embarks on impeachment proceedings of the governor on the promptings of an opposition party.
He added that the Assembly did not require a petition to begin impeachment proceedings of the governor if the need arose.

Fake news more dangerous than BOKO HARAM - Lia Muhammed.... read more!!!

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, says the phenomenon of fake news if left unchecked, poses more threat to the nation than insurgency and militancy.
The minister reiterated this position on Tuesday in Abuja at the seventh edition of the National Security Seminar with the theme “Consolidating on the Gains of Counter-Terrorism Operations in Nigeria.”
The seminar was jointly organised by the National Defence College of Nigeria, the Office of the National Security Adviser and the Alumni Association of National Defence College.
Mohammed said that the phenomenon of fake news propagated majorly by the social media “is so serious that it threatened to break the country rapidly even more than insurgency.”
He noted that to consolidate on the defeat of the Boko Haram insurgent, the armed forces should give special attention to its communication and information dissemination strategy.
“We must pay adequate attention to communication strategy and have our people who will be very active also on the social media.
“It is a front that has been largely neglected which we must now pay special and adequate attention to,” he said.
According to him, fake news phenomenon is a situation where someone or some persons will fabricate stories capable of setting one group or religion against the other and send them out through the social media.
“Regrettably, fake news is circulated worldwide through the means of the social media and it travels faster.
“Only recently, we have to refute the fake news that Nigeria today is the most difficult place for Christians to live.
“There was also the fake report that the armed forces of Nigeria armed the Fulani herdsmen and instigate them to carry out attacks.
“All these news are unfounded, fake and has the capacity to set one religion or group against the other,’’ he said.
The minister said the most recent of such disinformation was the news of the alleged killing of some members of a pro-Biafra group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Mohammed said that the allegation was false, malicious and intended to set the country on fire.
He also recalled the recent visit by two leaders of All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu and Bisi Akande to President Muhammadu Buhari in London which the champions of disinformation claimed it never happened.
He said similarly, it took the intervention of the US government to set the record straight through a release that its President, Donald Trump truly had a telephone conversation with President Buhari.
Earlier in a welcome address, the Commandant of National Defence College, Rear Adm. Ilesanmi Alade, said the annual seminar provided opportunities for discussion of the topical issue of national security. Alade said the theme of the seminar was apt because having technically defeated Boko Haram, there was the need to build upon the gains and guide against relapse or outbreak of any other crisis.
On his part, the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, commended the armed forces for winning the insurgency war in the North East within a short period of the administration of President Buhari.
The minister, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Danjuma Shedi, said that the isolated attacks being witnessed were expected but assured that there would be an end to them soon.

Ohanaeze worried about maltreatment of Por-Biafran supporters- NWODO... read more!!!

Ohanaeze President John Nnia Nwodo has frowned at what he described as oppression to pro-Biafran supporters.
He said the Federal Government treats supporters of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) with disdain.
Nwodo stated in Port Harcourt yesterday during a tour, that if the MASSOB and IPOB members were treated like the Niger Delta Avengers and the Boko Haram in the North East, the agitations would be tamed.
Nwodo however said the Federal Government should shun violence against the pro-Biafran agitators.
He said, “Our people feel marginalized, they feel ill-treated. In this country the most sensitive position pertains to the national security, but there is already a vote of no confidence that the Ibos cannot be trusted with the security of the nation.’’ No Igbo man heads the Nigerians police, no Igbo man heads the military, no Igbo man heads the Federal Road Safety Corps, no Igbo man head the Department of State Service and others. We are not the Minister of Defense despite the zoning policy of the federal government.
“I don’t know why the Federal Government does not want to give people fiscal freedom. We are calling for true federalism.
“I know of the Niger Delta Avengers who are angry as the MASSOB and IPOB and are destroying oil facilities. I don’t know any of them that have been arrested. What has the IPOB done to be treated differently?
“The fact that we have not joined them means that they have not received our cheers because we still believe that the FG can still handle the situation. I call on the Federal Government to have a rethink on how they handle the issues of IPOB and MASSOB. If they treat them as they have treated others they will have a rethink.”

IPOB TO BUHARI: Release Kanu or Nigeria will suffer great calamity like biblical Egypt ...read more!!!

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has advised the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government to release its leader, Nnamdi Kanu or Nigeria will be plagued like the Biblical Egypt.
Recall that Kanu, who was arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, in 2015, has continued to languish in incarceration despite several court rulings ordering his release..
However, the pro-Biafra group, in a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, warned that the continued detention of Kanu would spell doom for the country, adding that grave calamity awaited the nation.
Powerful said Nigeria was sitting on a keg of gunpowder, and that what would soon befall the country following the continued detention of its leader would destabilise Nigeria as a nation.
The statement reads: “The Almighty God is angry with the present Nigeria government and their failure to heed for the total release his prophet Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. There is a saying that a Prophet is not recognized in his own land.
“Mazi Kanu is God sent, but unfortunately a lot of people both at home and in Diaspora saw his moves and determination as divine while a few myopic people in the present Nigerian government see it as a huge joke of the century. Many saw him as another youth seeking for relevance. Many saw him as hungry man who wants to earn a living through defrauding the vulnerable; few people took the messenger and the message serious. The Nigerian state saw him as a rascal that must be tamed.
“The Nigerian government cannot stop him; instead those planning to stop him will be doomed forever. The Nigerian nation in their usual way instead of discussing and negotiating took a dangerous path of arrest and detention.
“However looking at the state of affairs in Nigeria since his arrest and detention, one can confidently say that Mazi Kanu is now a Prophet of God, the country has not moved forward.
“Nigeria APC government should not wait like in the case of Pharaoh till the nation receives the last plague before doing the needful. God is not a man that tells lies. Mazi Kanu is divinely sent on a mission and must be seen as such. No harm must befall the prophet of God.”

Cleric condemns IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanus continued detention ...read more!!!

The Bishop of Egbu (Anglican Communion) in Imo state, Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Okorafor, has condemned the continued detention of the Independent People of Biafra leader, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, describing it as an infringement on human right.
He said, “I don’t support the detention. If we follow the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kanu is not supposed to be in detention up till this moment.
“If he has committed any crime, let there be Due Process. Detention or incarceration is not the Due Process.
“We have our law courts. He has to be prosecuted and if found culpable, let the matter run its course. Continued keeping him in detention is an infringement on his human rights and it is not justified.”
Okorafor spoke to our correspondent in his office on Wednesday. He stated that the dogged agitation for state of Biafra by the group had immediate and remote causes.
He said, “If the IPOB is crying out their heart, the Federal Government, which is the mother of all the ethnic nationalities in the country should find out why this agitation has been on and possibly find a lasting solution to it.
“The group should be summoned with a genuine intention to know why they are agitating and pacify the situation for lasting peace to reign in the country. No group should be isolated from the entire system. Where a group has scores to settle, it should not be treated with kid gloves for the good interest of the entire populace”.
Okorafor, however, contended that the IPOB’s agitation did not fully represent the position of the Southeast.
He said, “Some sections especially the “big heads” are sabotaging the efforts and that is why there may not be great success by IPOB”.

BREAKING NEWS: Any man can be sick or even die-Adesina...READ MORE!!

Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President has said the period of extension of President Muhammadu Buhari’s vacation in London was not specified because ““there is no vacuum in government’’. Adesina, who stated this in an interview with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) on Sunday night, said the time was not stated so as enable the president to get clean bill of health from his doctors.

He said the president has already transmitted power to the Vice-President who had been performing his constitutional duties as acting president. According to Adesina, with the extension of his vacation, President Buhari now has adequate time to rest before he returns home. “”When he was leaving on Jan. 19 we announced that it was a vacation during which he would also do routine medical check-ups. “”Now, those check-ups have thrown up things that need to be further looked at and that is why he is asking for this extension of the vacation. ““The time is not stated and that reason is not far to seek because Mr President transmitted power to his vice, who is now the acting President. “”So, he does not need to be under that pressure of time again because there is no vacuum in government, there is an acting president. “”Therefore, the doctors can now exhaustively look at him and give him a clean bill of health before he returns home,’’ he said. On those spreading dangerous rumours on the president’s health conditions, the presidential aide urged them to desist from such ungodly acts. He charged them to always pray for the good health of the president and have goodwill toward their fellow human beings. “”My message will be what I also said before, goodwill, let us have goodwill towards our president. “”We as human beings must have goodwill towards one another. Any man can be sick; any man can get well; any man can even die, we are mortals. Anybody can die; anybody falls sick can also get well. “”Therefore, all those who peddle those evil, mischievous, malicious and malevolent rumours on social media need to have a rethink. Instead of all those evil wishes they should have goodwill towards the president,’’ he added. Adesina in an earlier statement disclosed that President Buhari had written the National Assembly, informing it of his desire to extend his leave in order to complete and receive the results of a series of tests recommended by his doctors. “The President had planned to return to Abuja this evening, but was advised to complete the test cycle before returning. The notice has since been dispatched to the Senate President, and Speaker, House of Representatives. “Mr. President expresses his sincere gratitude to Nigerians for their concern, prayers and kind wishes,” a statement earlier issued by Adesina on Sunday said. Newsmen report that President Muhammadu Buhari left Abuja for the United Kingdom on Jan. 19 on a short leave, which is part of his annual vacation. The President formally handed over mantle of leadership of the country to his Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

US VP Pence warns Iran against testing Trump's resolve ....read more!!!

US Vice President Mike Pence in an interview airing Sunday warned Iran “not to test the resolve” of the Donald Trump administration, days after Washington slapped new sanctions on Tehran following a ballistic missile test launch.
Relations between the two sides have deteriorated sharply since Trump took office last month promising a tough line on what he sees as Iranian belligerence toward US interests.
“Iran would do well to look at the calendar and realize there’s a new president in the Oval Office. And Iran would do well not to test the resolve of this new president,” Pence told ABC News in an interview taped Saturday.
The tough talk came after Trump’s Pentagon chief James Mattis declared last week that Iran was “the single biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world.”
The charged rhetoric has raised questions over whether the United States will abandon commitments it made under a landmark deal — negotiated with several world powers and approved by president Barack Obama in 2015 — that obliged Iran to curtail its nuclear program in exchange for relief from US and international sanctions.
“The Iranians got a deal from the international community that again, the president and I and our administration think was a terrible deal,” Pence said.
Although Mattis and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson have said the United States would stand by the agreement, Pence was less forthcoming.
“Well, we’re evaluating that as we speak,” he said.
“I think the president will make that decision in the days ahead. And he’ll listen to all of his advisors, but make no mistake about it. The resolve of this president is such that Iran would do well to think twice about their continued hostile and belligerent actions.”
US officials said the new sanctions imposed Friday were in response to Iran’s recent ballistic missile test and its support for the Huthi rebels in Yemen, who recently targeted a Saudi warship.
The White House has said “nothing is off the table” — even military action.

Dangote declares 285 drivers wanted over theft of 3.5m tyres...read more!!!

The Dangote Group of Companies Plc has declared 285 truck drivers wanted over theft of about 3.5 million customised tyres of the company.
The Coordinator of the company’s National Patrol Unit, Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji, a retired Commissioner of Police, disclosed this while addressing newsmen on Sunday in Lokoja.
Magaji said each tyre of the company had an identification number and the number was registered against the driver’s name at collection point.
”Already, 285 drivers identified to have collected 285 tyres have been declared wanted while a number of others are on the run.
”Already, we have stopped their salaries and we are looking for them. So far, about 3.5 million tyres are missing from the company and we believe they are in circulation within and outside the country. We are determined to recover them.
”We are appealing to those patronising the drivers and who encouraged them to steal our tyres to stop forthwith. Dangote tyres are customised and marked. Dealers and vulcanisers should please beware.
”People should ensure that the tyres they buy either as new or second hand are not customised Dangote tyres. We have arraigned some drivers and dealers caught with tyres and efforts are being made to arrest vulcanisers involved,” he said.
According to Magaji, security agents are presently on the trail of an identified kinpin who comes to Obajana and Kano to buy the tyres of the drivers.
“Our appeal to vulcanisers is to always look out for our logo on the tyres and report accordingly,” the coordinator said.
He said that the president of the group of companies, Dr Aliko Dangote, had expressed concern over the incident, adding that the company was trying by all means to stop the ugly development.
The former commissioner of police appealed to those in custody of the tyres to return them “quietly”, either to the company or to the nearest police station to avoid unpleasant consequences, if caught.
He expressed Dangote’s gratitude to the media for sensitising Nigerians on the zero-tolerance disposition of the management of the company for reckless driving and illegal haulage.
Magaji noted that while illegal haulage had dropped by about 85 per cent, accidents involving Dangote vehicles had reduced drastically, adding that a silent revolution was going on in the company’s transport section to sanitise it.

Stop embarrassing our ancestors - MASSOB tells Okorocha, Obiano....read more!!!

The Movement for Actualization of Sovereign of State, MASSOB, has charged at Governors Rochas Okorocha of Imo state and Willy Obiano of Anambra state to respect the culture of civility and stop insulting the sensibilities of Ndigbo by ceasing from their altercations.
Fuming over the recent embarrassing crossfire utterances between both governor, MASSOB said that the bitter exchange of words on their alleged failures as Governors in their respective States is “complete stupidity and foolishness.”
MASSOB leader, Uchenna Madu in a statement on Friday told the two Governors that their public bragging and exchange of dirty words is a slap and insult to Ndigbo and a shame on the Governors.
Madu noted that in view of on-going political reorganization in Igbo land for the future and survival of Ndigbo, it was baffling that all the Governors could do was to allow themselves become tools against Igbo interest.
Madu said: “For one to be a governor is not a criteria to insult Igbo traditional respect or the ancestors. MASSOB holds Okorocha responsible for openly declaring that three Igbo governors will soon join APC. If he was sure of his words, why didn’t he mention their names and evidences of such meeting or plan?
“Igbo politicians should stop making provocative and unguided statements just to pacify their political allies and masters. MASSOB warns that washing one’s dirty clothes in the public is not the best option and political party interest can never be quantified with the general interest of Ndigbo.
“Today, our political detractors are happy celebrating this political madness that is capable of disorganizing our people. This is a political ploy by APC to heat up the Anambra political arena in readiness for 2017 governorship election in Anambra state.
“APC as a political party in its manifesto has no room for accommodation of Igbo interest. Even President Buhari as helmsman of APC has pathological hatred against Ndigbo. So Governor Okorocha should wait till 2019 when the mainstream of Igbo populace will determine with our massive votes which political party Ndigbo will identify with.
“MASSOB recognizes that the main vision and mission of APGA has been affected because of clueless leadership of the current chairman, Ndigbo still have sympathy for APGA because of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Eze Igbo Gburugburu).
“MASSOB therefore advise the two governors to stop embarrassing our ancestors or we invoke the bitter wrath of our ancient Oracles against them.”

Nothing can stop Igbo presidency in 2019-MASSOB....read more!!!

The Leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Uche Madu, has declared that nothing will stop an Igbo man from becoming Nigeria’s president come 2019.
He advised President Muhammadu Buhari, to free leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and other Biafra agitators as that is the only way to pacify the Igbos ahead of 2019.
According to him, “To pacify Ndigbo, President Buhari should no longer hesitate in attending to the demands of Ndigbo, not Igbo politicians.
“These demands include the release of Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafra agitators detained across Nigerian prisons.
Madu told Punch that with the consciousness of Biafra growing day by day and overwhelming population of Biafrans in Nigeria, there is no obstacle to an Igbo man becoming president of Nigeria in 2019.
He added, “Absolutely nothing can stop Ndigbo from clinching the presidential power, with our tenacious understanding of our political future which our detractors are planning to destroy.
“With the consciousness of Biafra and our overwhelming population in Nigeria , no obstacles or hurdles can stop Onye Igbo from being in Aso Rock.”

BREAKING: 2Face Released From DSS Detention, As Feb 6th Protest Goes On As Planned....read more!!!

Nigerians were shocked yesterday, as one of the conveners of the National Protest, tagged “One Voice”, Mr Innocent Idibia, aka, 2Face or 2Baba, while in the Directorate of Secret Services (DSS) detention under duress read out a prepared Note stating the cancellation of the February 6, 2017 protest.  The National protest against the Muhammadu Buhari’s draconian administration and out-of-date economic policies that crashed the Nigerian economy and ushered in an untold hardship was initiated by Nigerian, while Mr Idibia was only co-opted into it just days ago.

2Face Idibia made Video while under DSS Custody.
While Nigerians have ignored Mr Idibia’s video messages, they are frantically warming up for the February 6th Protest. It should be noted that the Nigerian Pop Musician while in the custody of the DSS was warned not to communicate to friends until the secret police are satisfied that the planned protest is botched. Hope For Nigeria can confirm that the Musician has just been released and he promised to be using his position in the social media to ensure that there will not be any protest on the 6th of February, 2017.
According to Hope For Nigeria, a statement released by the Coalition In Defence Of Nigerian Democracy and Constitution (CDNDC), announced that the protest must go on as planned.
The release signed by Ariyo-Dare Atoye one of the Co-Conveners is as below:-
*Cancellation of #IStandWithNigeria rally is not true:* ..
*The National Protest was never about 2Face, we are marching on against bad governance.* .
*Our attention has been drawn to news making the rounds that the National-Protest-March slated for Monday, February 6, 2017 has been canceled by Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2Face.* .
*This is not true and not the consensus of Nigerians, majority of fellow planners and not a true reflection of the sincere plan to organize this rally in public interest.* .
*We wish to inform Nigerians and the world at large that this protest against bad governance and hunger was never about 2Face or any individual for that matter. Let it be known that Mr. Idibia merely keyed into an ongoing public discourse over this protest to take a lead. It was never his singular idea but the concerns of the suffering masses. *Therefore, we wish to inform concerned Nigerians and the international community that there is a national and public consensus for this protest to hold as scheduled in all venues.*
*There are hundreds of groups and thousands of Nigerians who are leading this initiative and we will not back down.* . *This is the time to separate real activists from emergency activists. Emergency activists seek mortality with the fear of man, while revolutionists and real activists seek immortality with the fear of God.*

WORLD CANCER DAY (WE CAN. I CAN) - Adigom Donatus.... read more and see all you will about cancer!!!

WORLD CANCER DAY (WE CAN. I CAN)
Today is world cancer day and so I lend my voice to the fight against the menace.
Globally, 8.2 million people die of cancer every year, which constitutes 13% of all deaths (WHO, 2017). Out of these, 4 million die prematurely; between the age of 30 to 69years. In Nigeria, a number of famous people, notably wives of prominent politicians, have been lost to cancer within the past few years.
DEFINITION: Cancer is the uncontrollable growth of abnormal cells in the body. Many cells which make up our bodies grow continuously. However, this growth must be coordinated to ensure a healthy, harmonious and proportional body. If any cell or group of cells escape this coordination, cancer sets in. Cancerous cells could invade and attack adjoining organs and destroy them. They could also get detached and move through the blood stream to different parts of the body where they continue independent growth, a term referred to as metastasis. Without prompt treatment, death often occurs.
TYPES OF CANCER: Cancers are classified depending on the part of the body affected. Any part of the body can be affected, hence we may have cancer of the mouth, ear, throat, lungs, skin and so on. However, there are parts of the body that are commonly affected in males and females. Dasuki: FG's request for secret trial satanic, undemocratic - Fayose.....read more!!!

Ekiti State Governor and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governor’ Forum, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has described the Federal Government’s attempt to secretly try the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki, by using mask-wearing prosecution witnesses as satanic and mockery of democracy, saying; “It is becoming obvious that the All Progressives Congress (APC) federal government has something to hide on the travail of Col. Dasuki because if you were not afraid to call someone a thief in the market place, you should not be afraid to try such a person in the full glare of the public.”
The governor, who said Nigerians should ask the federal government why it was afraid of trying Dasuki openly, noted that; “Since names of the would-be prosecution witnesses have already been made public, what agenda is the federal pursuing by insisting that its witnesses be given protection by the court by not allowing their names and addresses to be made public in the course of the trial.”
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose challenged the APC-led federal government to allow live television coverage of the trial so that the federal government can tell the entire world how Dasuki actually stole the $2.1 billion arms money and he (Dasuki) will also defend himself in the full glare of the public.
The governor said; “You accused someone of corruption in the market place and the person you accused is saying he wants to defend himself in the market place too, but you, the accuser is insisting that the accused must be tried in your bedroom, I think someone is trying to hide something?”
He said it was curious that the Federal Government could approach the court for the second time, seeking for an order to conduct secret trial in a celebrated criminal matter, on which it claimed to have watertight evidences.
Governor Fayose added that even the prosecuting counsel, who filed the application, should be ashamed for allowing themselves to be used as tools to subvert democracy.
“They want Nnamdi Kanu tried secretly. They also want the former Col Dasuki (rtd) tried secretly. What are they afraid of? How is defence counsel going to cross-examine masked witnesses when their real identity cannot be ascertained? Why are the witnesses afraid to testify in an open court if truly they are witnesses of truth?
“Obviously, this is satanic. It is against all democratic norms and Nigerians must rise against it,” the governor said.
He called on the court to reject the federal government ploy to use masquerade as witnesses, saying; “Nigerians are now at the mercy of judiciary, which is the only institution that can save Nigeria from the full-blown dictatorship that the APC government has become.”

IPOP Blast Fr. Mbaka, says he is a Fulani superstitious idol worshiper...read more!!!

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has described the Spiritual leader of the Adoration Ministries in Enugu, Rev. Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka, as a fake Fulani superstitious idol worshipper.
IPOB made the allegation while reacting to Mbaka’s recent comments on the pro-Biafra group.
In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB said Mbaka’s ideologies were being controlled by hunger and lack of good education and knowledge on issues.
Referring to the priest as “Usman Mbaka,” the group alleged that priest has many contradictions in his teaching when compared to the Holy Bible.
The statement reads, “From what Usman Mbaka said in his video about IPOB, you would have thought that the same Jesus he worships sells olive oil and pure water in his name, was 1000 years old when he started his ministry that changed the course of human history.
“Every morning and night, this Fulani fake miracle selling superstitious idol worshiper kneel down to ask Jesus that died at the youthful age of 33 for money, protection and even more fools to attend his adoration ground for prayer to the same 33 year old saviour.
“A man that destroyed Nigeria without firing a single bullet is greater than Nigeria, talk less of hungry, poorly educated men that think they are Igbo elites.
“You see, Mbaka does not know the word of God, neither is he educated enough to understand historical events. It is fair to conclude therefore, that Usman Mbaka is not a priest of God. If Mbaka evidentially and demonstrably is not a servant of God, he must therefore a child of Satan and servant of Baal.
“Why didn’t God use Reuben who was the eldest son of Jacob instead of Joseph who is second to the last? Why did God choose baby Moses, even as he was in a basket to lead his people out of Egypt instead of Moses’ father or another elder from the Hebrew community in Goshen Egypt? Why didn’t God choose one of the elders of Israel to lead the assault on the land Canaan but instead chose Joshua?

“Why did God choose Samuel instead of the older more established priests from the house of Levi to serve in his temple instead of the boy Samuel?
“Why did God anoint and make a young David king over Israel when there were ‘elites’ and men of the law he could have chosen a king from? Why was Jesus the son of a carpenter, at the very tender age of 11 preach against the doctrine and hypocrisy of the all powerful Pharisees and Sadducees or the corruption of the Sanhedrin?
IPOB noted that the world knows only Jesus not the high priest of the temple or anyone from Sanhedrin.
The group maintained that the same God has chosen its leader, Nnamdi Kanu and not anybody from Ohaneze Ndigbo, South-East or South South Governors Forum or so called elites to lead the struggle for secession.
The statement reads further, “On a temporal note, the greatest general in recorded history is Alexander the Great of Macedonian. Guess what, he conquered all the known world before the age of 30 which to Usman Mbaka is too young and age to be considered an elite.
“To him an Igbo elite is a corrupt disease ridden inconsequential Igbo homosexual trading his body for political favours from one Hausa Fulani town to another.
“This is the type of God forsaken cowards and people Usman Mbaka want to lead the resurgent Biafran agitation. The same old men that did nothing about Igbo presidency until IPOB came along, they did not build second Niger Bridge, they did not build Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, neither did they use their elitism to build Onitsha-Enugu Expressway either.
“The question Usman Mbaka must answer is, what has any of the men he is proposing should lead IPOB done for Biafra? Why didn’t these ‘elites’ as he calls them rise up and agitate for Biafra before Nnamdi Kanu came, that is, before God determined that Nnamdi Kanu should come; who stopped them? Nnamdi Kanu, Uche Mefor, Clifford Iroanya, Emma Nmezu, Nnennaya Anya, Ikenna Nwanonenyi, Chika Edoziem, Uchenna Asiegbu and many others are more educated, sophisticated, patriotic and more enlightened than all the Igbo elites put together.”
